It still falls into the category of generic thanks comments.
Although this proves that you read the description before commenting, no blacklist for you.

Does this mean that saying something akin to "Thank you, despite your request I simply wish to show appreciation for your show of generosity" would count for ban or no?
Generic "Thanks" comment spams only clutter the comment area, needlessly distracts the GA creator and has little value outside of basic manners.
Hmm... ok... It seems blacklisting people just for commenting "Thanks" may be a bit drastic...
