You sound like you're talking about a relic.

To be fair, 1999 was at least a million brain cells ago for me. And in gamerspace, a release date of '99 is pretty ancient.

Hey now, MMO Grand-daddy UO did the best it could. 😅

Sorry for stupid question, what do you mean by animation team?
Maybe I'm just confused by the specification of "one server" of the MMO - as i would expect animation team to be for an entire game regardless of servers.

I blame my bad english, animation team is probably not the most relevant term.
Basically, when T4c was out in France, there were several servers for it. And each of them had a dedicated team that had tools to edit characters (name, stats, appearance) , create/teleport monsters, run scripts. This was used for RP events (mostly) and a bit of moderation
Each team was leaded by a game master, that had more rights than we had (on accounts mostly)
Each server had different stories, different events, and each of them was managed by what I call the animation team.
Some events were made on all servers, but most of the time events were very personalized.

I used to play one called Nexus TK back in the late 90's. Never bothered with Neverquest or Ultima Online.
