To the lucky soul who wins this gem: be sure to play with spatial audio enabled (and the headset/speaker) to go with it~ 🎧🕈
Thank you lily! GL space cats!

Yesss, audio recommendation seconded! Some good headphones really elevate the incredible sound design they put into this 💖

I've got the Hyper Cloud Alpha, which were praised back on release for being a bridge between crappy gaming headphones and audiophile headphones, being based on the good bang for the buck Takstar Pro 80 which is being pushed out of favour by much more capable competition. Still, it's something, hopefully enough to enjoy the sound design properly.

I've unironically 100% Bad Rats and did a proper review on it. Best audio ever when you turn the game's audio setting all the way to zero in windows audio mixer : )

Ty for the game, activated and marked as such!
BTW, shouldn't you be preferably sending the keys themselves, instead of gift links, with the talks about Humble Bundle being a little mad about those who send way too many gifts? Look into it, I don't remember the discussion all to well, but it would suck to get banned from HB while gifting games.

Sounds like your headphones should do just fine then :) For this game, quality is great of course but imo secondary to the ability for your headphones/sound system to be able to simulate the feeling of the audio coming from all around you. Now I'm just hoping we haven't over-hyped the audio for you, haha. I can at least guarantee it'll be better than Bad Rats :p

I think that's the first proper review I've seen for Bad Rats, nice! And impressive that despite the problems with it, you still 100%'d it. Your sacrifice will be remembered ;u;

I usually do try to send keys for that exact reason. This one ended up accidentally getting a gift link because I was tired when setting up these carts and I ended up clicking the wrong thing ^^; Glad it worked since it's been ages since I've used the gift links, but yeah, I definitely plan to be more careful about hitting the right buttons in the future so I don't get on HB bad side. Still, thank you for the concern!

I hope you have a good time with the game~ <3

I think my headphones will indeed be good enough then. Not overhyped.

As for reviews, I try to give a proper one because that's the type of reviews I always search for... and Bad Rats had none, so I played the role of informing others exactly why it's bad. It wasn't too bad to finish up, took 3 hours, which is a low bar for completionists.

Well, once in a while, HB won't hurt you. But better safe then sorry, that's for sure.

As for having a good time with the game, I'm pretty sure I will since I only enter giveaways for things that really entice me, and psychological horror is my definitive favourite genre.
Problem will be gathering time for it. I not only suffer from fear of entering a game with too much achievements (As I must 100% them), I also suffer from the typical "Too much to do, too little time", and a little with too much choice. I've got loads of hours in CS and PUBG, but mostly AFK in the former and the latter is to hang out with the boys, which single players don't really allow. Sucks, tbh. So many good things to play in the backlog. I've only ever spent 155€ buying games myself in 13 years, 55 of which the Valve complete pack in 2010, since there's so much free stuff I gathered during my time in Steam (And SteamGifts).

I open my "must play" section in my library and I see Bioshock, Factorio, Hotline Miami, Metro 2033, Outlast, Subnautica and many others... all gotten for free. But time... : (
But then, forcing oneself to play games feels like a job rather than fun (Got kinda burnt out from playing games in 2019, when I decided to complete all achies on games I had some achievements on).

Anyways, 1st world problems lol. Cheers!

I totally agree about proper reviews. Meme reviews are fun sometimes, but it can get a little frustrating when I can't find anyone talking about what's actually good or bad about a game. And glad to hear it wasn't too bad to complete! 3 hours is a pretty reasonable amount of time to 100% such a notorious game (and is a relief to hear for if I ever decide to finally torture myself with Bad Rats lmao).

I completely understand your struggle with finding time for games. I hope I didn't make you feel like I was insisting "you have to play this ASAP!" Life never stops happening of course and it's inevitable that we won't always have time for these things. As someone who also prefers to 100% games (though admittedly I'm not very good at it because I have a terrible tendency to be swayed by my mood and so if I'm not feeling like playing a game at the moment, I'll tell myself I'll come back to it later, and before I know it I've got 20 different games that I think "I need to go back and finish that." Truly a constant nightmare, would not recommend. xD) I know just how quickly fun can turn into a chore when you feel compelled to complete whatever you start. But yeah, all that to say, try not to worry about when you can get around to playing Hellblade. I simply wish you the best whenever that time does arrive. And in the meantime I hope that life treats you kindly and allows you the time to have fun with the games you're playing! <3

Don't torture yourself with Bad Rats, not worth it.

Ty for understanding and I wish you get to enjoy your gaming experiences too (Which it seems you're doing already, by "getting back to the game later" strategy you've been applying).
