I call them first person puzzlers. I would consider something a portal clone if it used the same mechanics as the Portal games (the portals and maybe even the gels).
In some sense I can understand it though because a lot of these games seem to borrow portals aesthetics and the whole test chamber story idea, QUBE being a good example of that.
It's a really fun indie game, though!
