Heard this so many times from people online. My only experience with the game is watching the Spiffing Brit break it. These types of games just don't pull me in, but might try one in the future. Lord knows I played weirder games than this.

I enjoy them, outside of being forced into some military investment early or another nation will try to take you out then cry foul when you move from being the most technologically advanced and culturally significant happy people to monsters of war and take a couple cities away... oh and immediately after the peace treaty cry to everyone else to get a joint war declaration(I am looking at you Rome!)
its very easy to spend an entire day playing one custom game(I don't even do scenarios and such in CIV games).
