It's dangerous to go alone, take this!
As a sign of thanks please tell me: do you enjoy historical fiction (perhaps with a sprinkle of fantasy)? If not, why?

I like historical fiction because with a bit of fiction (or even a lot and some fantasy stuff) it makes stories/events that you already know interesting again.
Not that actual history would be boring but you know most of the stuff and with a bit of fiction you can spice them up again :D

I agree, though I actually also use historical fiction to get into details and events I didn't know, studying them further through real sources afterwards.
By the way if you're into the genre you probably already know Cornwell, but I greatly recommend you the warlord chronicles he wrote; one of the best series of books I've ever read so far. :)

I enjoy thinking about alternate history, how things may play out if a single event had gone a different way. What if Hitler had survived, how would that have changed everything from that point forward?
Thanks for RUSH!

Yes and I wish I would have enjoyed the gameplay of Assassin's Creed because I did like the story.

It all depends, really. I enjoyed some of the works (movies, books) in that 'genre' so I guess I do.

Eh, if I want fiction, I want it to be properly ficticious. Plenty of fantastic elements, and whatnot. Thanks for the giveaway!

Thanks for the chance and I enjoy historical fiction, though I don't read/ watch or play games in that vein all that much

I prefer worlds that are built on different assumptions than our own. As a result, I don't like much historical fiction. I do like historical fiction with alternate timelines, though, like Resistance.
