Description

This year, my cat (Smudge) is one year older. She certainly has lost her "kitten" look, and is looking quite senior. And round.

Do you have pets? What are they? If you care to share, what are their names?

Thx!

I adopted a cat in October from an animal shelter. Her name is Clover. :)

I wonder if the poor soul ended up in shelter because it was black?
Always liked the black ones with green eyes, though it's a bit hard to not step on them in the night :D

Unfortunately, I'm not sure. They list the reason the animals ended up there on their identification tags, but she was in a back area, so I only had a small window of time to look at the tag [and I didn't happen to read that portion in that time]. She is three years old, so my family guessed wherever her previous owner moved to didn't allow cats and that they chose moving there over keeping her.

But yeah, they are hard to see at night; somehow, I've managed to avoid running into her in the dark so far though! Even during the day, she likes to lay on literally EVERYTHING in my room that is black, so she blends in, haha.

Maybe someone in the family (possibly a boy/girlfriend or newly born child) had an allergy. Happens all the time.
I personally would never ditch my cat, even though she's a proper little monster (likes to hunt me down, scratches and bites everywhere).

No wonder, black things are warmer! I guess my cats liked to follow me near my legs when I go to bathroom at night, and the current one likes to lie down near doors all the time (on her back), that's why I'm used to walking very carefully now. Or else I will be bitten to death later :D

A proper little monster, haha. Yeah, I couldn't give up my cat either; an allergy is definitely possible though. I hadn't considered that for some reason. I guess it's a bit hard for me to imagine giving up a cat I've had for three years for a new partner [if that is what happened; a child would definitely be a more conflicting situation].

If you're okay with it, you should share a picture of your kitty. :o What's her name?

I don't know why, but I never used names with my cats. Technically they were named (by family members), but I just talk to them without using names.

I love them. My cat is a Devon Rex, and therefor, she has short curly hair, and her belly is nude. .
