You pass a tiny little cafe, and decide to sit and order a drink. It's really just a few tables set out, and there's nobody there but the wizened old proprietor. As you go to take a seat he beckons you over to his table where he has a chess set laid out in front of him. "Why not?", you think. You take a seat across from him and began a game of chess you're confident you'll loose.
You don't loose. Naturally you just assumed that since this fellow was wizened, and old, and a cafe owner, he'd be really good at chess. But apparently he's here to teach you a lesson about profiling. At any rate, you win handily while sipping your spicy tea. For a long minute the old man stares at you with what might be irritation--it's hard to tell since his eyebrows are so dramatic to begin with. To break the silence you ask him which way to your destination. He points up a nearby street with a long, dark finger.
What do you do?
Continue in the direction indicated once you finish your tea
Head back the way you came, you're not sure he's giving good directions
