Closed beta keys, but they do count towards your total game count on your Steam profile.

Since I'm not sure if the system can even recognize games like that as "received" I would say it's quite dangerous to participate here.
In case the system can't, you most likely will end up banned from Steamgifts.

What are you saying? They just need to select "received" when they redeem their key. It's not up to the "system" to recognize that automatically.

I didn't win a single giveaway yet, so I cannot say how that works from the winner-side. But I assumed the system scans your library. Thus I assumed if the game that you won couldn't be found you would get banned by the system.
If I'm wrong, then never mind.

BTW it worked. Didn't think I'd only get 12% through level 1 with a "$20" giveaway though.

Yeah, checked their profiles and Steam seems to be acknowledge that game as game.
Just said that because I once saw a BC2 Vietnam giveaway where even I still could enter (I already had that game/DLC). Means Steamgifts would probably not be able to recognize that you own it, even if you tried to use the key.
