For me, I heard from a trusted source that the game is very good even if you ignore all the "assets" it has, so I tried to stay clear of learning too much about it and just experience it for myself.

Looks like a mix between NieR (primarily) and Bayonetta.
If you haven't played either of those games, or you hated either of those games, then I'd say it's not for you.

But really, it's a breath of fresh air in modern AAA game world and literally is the game made for gamers.

This game is considered great mostly for being something between Nier and Bayonetta in combat, not being shy with its assets, and not succumbing to censorship as much as several other games. Well, there was some minor costume censorship in the early release dates which led to a hueg backlash, since the dev was flaunting that they had gone as censor free as possible. IIRC, they reverted the changes and everything is as bouncy and undressed as intended.
Funnily enough there were the classic "unrealistic expectations" accusation for Eve's (the main character you play with) body, which was actually made from 3D scans of a real Korean model.
