LEGO Harry Potter. Really any of the LEGO games for local co-op are good.

Havent played many but i liked playing Worms Armageddon and Wacky wheels with my brother when i was younger

"Trine" and "Trine 2" are great 1-3 player co-op game supporting hotseat, it isn't split-screen though.
"FORCED" is also a very good 1-4 player co-op game supporting hotseat, also not split-screen.
