I feel the same way about the maps. Those types are fun once in a while, but I prefer the big and realistic ones. I used to have a decent collection of the things, but that's all lost to time sadly. Now when I can get friends to play we just use randomly-generated maps.
Well randomly generated ones are ok-ish, but I indeed prefer some realistic "war" maps, a la Battlefield or whatever.
But, yeah, as long as they aren't some gimmicky or joke maps, I am fine with it!

So happy to hear that someone else plays that game, it's amazing - so effective and atmospheric! Screw the "new" Ace of Spades by Jagex...
I just wish that there were more "normal" maps (big and with a realistic setting) as opposed to Hallway and those "babel" game mode maps.
