I've been really lucky on SG lately and I'm incredibly grateful for the games that I've won.
It's the first pay day since before Christmas (meaning most of my money is already gone on bills) so it's only a small give-back, but hopefully I'll be able to give more in the future.

The one on perception of short hair is really interesting to me. I've had longish hair my whole life but I don't put any more effort into it than washing it; even blow drying is too much effort for me. But even though I hate the thought of looking after it, I've never cut it short, and honestly, it's because in my mind there is a definite connection with the idea that once I cut my hair I'm resigning myself to being old. Maybe it's a subconscious acknowledgement of the "fertility indicator" thing. As a lesbian who doesn't ever intend to have children, that seems ridiculous in a way. Something for me to think about.

Was reading the first article myself which reminded me of sleeve guns, which were popular amongst cheaters because of them being much more easily concealed than a revolver and quicker to draw. Haven't found any .gif yet but here's an example from a rather good spaghetti western, the gun (a Remington Model 95 - or a replica thereof) can be seen for a fraction of a second between 1:41 and 1:42, and then again after the first shot is fired and Van Cleef switches it to the left hand (1:45) in order to pull the revolver with the right hand. That's about how fast it's actually possible to pull, cock and fire one, without the more or less (I'd go for less) realistic devices such as forearm-mounted "rails" and the like.
