Not THE biggest, but the one I just remembered. In HOMM4's castom campaign dedicated to Lord of the Rings, I played not by ingame advices, but as I wanted. At one point by plot I suppoused to lose unwinnable battle, but I didn't. Earlier I taught my warrior hero low level spells, and it saved battle. That broke scripts and campaign refused to continue.
