I'm sorry to hear that :( I feel the same way, it's important to hold on to the simple things in life as those often bring the most happiness! It always helps to stay in the present moment and appreciate everything you can :)
That is a nice thing to say, because sadly most people think they don't need to pay an artist...
But to be honest, art doesn't pay bills so if I happen to sell something I reinvest it in art-supplies. ^^
