Description

This time for people with CV lvl 1.

Instead of thanks you might want to seek in your memory games that deal with death, making peace with it... anything that makes the game special in terms of death topic. You may skip Planescape: Torment and Continue?9876543210 (both great games - play them if you haven't played yet). I know probably some others but can't recall them at the very moment. I'll let you know in replies :)

Enjoy!

hmm .. well my companion dog died in Fallout... i think that's supposed to be it for the character, but I went back to a previous save and redid it to keep the dog alive. I didn't want to lose the dog...
There's death in Max Payne also... the character is dealing with the death of his family - It's been awhile since I played, but I remember emotional dream sequences and a mission of revenge...

The dog died in Fallout 1 in my playthrough as well in one of the final battles with mutants. I tried to load game quite a lot of times but each time they targeted the dog and hit with 100% accuracy.

Played through both Max Paynes - still need to start the 3rd one some time. The first two were great. After playing MP2 I stood up and clapped. Yeah, to the credits roll. It could have looked funny to my family but I didn't care. I remember to this day the final words in MP2:

[POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT]
I had a dream of my wife. She was dead. But it was all right.
[SPOILER ALERT END]

About the image: well, in games I relate to people better than in films. Each death takes a hard hit on the heart like in Yakuza games.

I also need to start Max Payne 3... I want to replay the other 2 first. it's been so long.
I don't have the PS console, but the Yakuza games look good. :)

Since PC platform is a witness to a boom of Japanese games with Tales of Zestiria/Symphony, Hyperdimension Neptunia series and lastly SEGA's Valkyria Chronicles exceeding all expectations... who knows, maybe at TGS we'll hear about Yakuza series coming to Steam?

If the Japanese-only-so-far Yakuzas would be on PC, it'd be just a matter of time to see them translated by fans. That would be my dream :)

Well that sounds like Angel Beats! to a "T," though it's not done yet.

True. Played with my wife, completed in one sitting. We both cried at the end.

Metal Gear Solid on the Playstation 1 - The battle against Sniper Wolf. One of those wtf moments when you're unprepared for what games can do.

Thanks a lot! SPOILER ALERT(MGS3): When you kill The Boss at the end of Metal Gear Solid 3, she was much more than a friend for Snake (you) but then you kill he because that's what the mission says and she dies in behalf of her mission too

Aw, need to finally start with this series. Since I don't have much time, I'm considering the visual novel version of the first game for PSP.

Everlasting Summer. It's some russian hentai-ish visual novel.
In one of the possible paths, you get to see yourself having feelings again for an ex, just in time to see her killed. Kind of. If I recall right.
It's free on Steam, by the way.
