Well, I tried to do something nice and do a giveaway for a more valuable game. As it turns out this code is region locked, and it was not communicated by the seller beforehand so I had no idea.
I apologize, international friends, but this key seems to be North America only. I'll try to do another good giveaway with a region free code in the future.

Hey I did the same, bought Max Payne 3 from Humble store and only when creating a gift link did it tell me it wouldn't work in certain countries. Oh well, live and learn.
