I'll stay away from this, even though I had it on my wishlist from a long time, as I just got Stellaris. It does really look great though, Galactic Civ 2 was really good!
I'll need to finish a few games and make room on my hard drive and then get familiarized with the game, but then sure! Do you know if it has an asynchronous mode for MP? Those are so convenient

Like... you play a turn and then you can log off... then your opponent can play their turn whenever suits for them, even if you're not online. and so on and so forth. It's very practical to play with people who you can't always be online with at the same time.
There are no turns in Stellaris. It's a Grand Strategy. They're all real-time. You can change the speed to suit your needs or even pause the game at will, though.
