It's time for another heap of delirious text.
You get a free game, I get a strange sense of satisfaction with myself. However, most often the winners do not use the game received for its intended purpose. It just lies for the collection.
In order to make this whole enterprise even a little sense, I decided to raise the frame to the limit to the first level.
So it will be more honest, it seems to me.
And now to business. The American film adaptation of the film "Ghost in the Shell" is terrible in comparison with the original. Scarlett Johansson with a face on which there is no emotion, with a stony face trying to portray feelings. It's terrible. And no less awful are a lot of invented plot moves, which were not really needed for the film.
I was pleased only Takeshi Kitano and several scenes, less well copied from the first anime film.
Hurled at the saints, assholes.
The question at the end is simple - what the heck?

I have a feeling I won't be watching this movie to avoid being disappointed / utterly disgusted by it.

I advise you to see the torrent edition of the film in a few months;) You do not have to spend money on a ticket to the cinema, it's not worth it.

I have no problem with scarlett johansson playing the major.
and she's playing an artificial human so its not like emotions are a problem.
no what I have a problem with is the fact that they basically took the matrix and made it into a simple action flim.
they removed all that was thought provoking from the original series and replaced it with some explosions.
I fully agree that all the invented plot moves are unneeded
also public GA with note on wanting it to be played obligatory group mention Playing Apreciated is a great group to put GA's you want people to play cause its a requirement.

I agree with the matrix-theme and with the cut out interesting moments. But nevertheless, the Major, despite her robotization, looked livelier in the original;)
What else did not like it, is that the main characters in the film tried to philosophize passionately, trying to imitate the anime version. But it looked all somehow crooked.

I have no interest in seeing the newer Ghost in the Shell, but I should really watch the original. Thanks for the giveaway. :)

You think right. I also recently revised the first two anime films)

Directors realized emotions were obsolete in movies like 5 years ago, all you need is marketing!

I only plan to watch it "by other means" a few months later, don't think it deserves my money. :P
Also, live adaptations are only good in extremely rare cases, unfortunately.

You were smarter than me. I could not stand the expectations and went to watch it in the cinema.
And yes, you're right)

I have not seen either, I'm guessing I should watch the original though.
