Hah... GTA! That's... not a pretty picture. Altered Beast was crazy back in the day, when Genesis was popular for me.

Taking a moment to check may save you a few points and me a reroll.

I like the way you put that ^ I'm going to add this game to my hide/invisible list (whatever it is called; I forget) so I will not have to re-check if I forget next time it shows up in the giveaways list. Thank you much for the giveaway!

Back in the day I had Altered Beast on my Atari ST, I was jealous of people who had it on Megadrive (as the Genesis was called over here). I was still really proud when I completed it though!

Nice! I never used one of the Atari ST's. I had a Commodore 64 around that time, or a little after, and the Atari 2800 too. Not sure what happened to all that stuff after several moves... ;-; Awesome you completed Altered Beast! I don't recall if I ever did... those games in that era were usually extremely hard to finish.

I started off with a 48k Sinclair Spectrum, then I got the Atari 520 ST which was a rival to the Amiga. Then I got a part time job in a computer game store and used my staff discount to get most of the consoles of that era - a SNES, Dreamcast, PS1, etc. Then when I got my first proper job I got my first gaming rig - a 486 DX2-66!

I had a lot of the arcade conversions on the Atari ST though and it was a great era for gaming! R-Type, Karnov, Double Dragon, Bubble Bobble, Afterburner, Out Run, etc. Like you say - very tough though and I certainly remember the ones I did beat!
