You should look into http://www.barter.vg/ for trading. It automatically syncs things like your wishlist, avoiding the nuisance you just had. It also has a TON of features (matchmaking, filtering, organizing) [including advanced features if you dig around for the url codes in the support pages], a much cleaner interface than SteamTrades, and far less concern with scammers than ST has.

At the very least, it shouldn't hurt you to give it a look, and even if it doesn't replace ST for you (and even I admit that ST has a bit more freedom in the sort of trades you construct with it, since Barter is primarily concerned with Steam Keys and Steam Gifts, rather than trading for keys, cards, or non-Steam games) it still should benefit you as a second trading source. ^.^
