INSTEAD of „Thanks!“
please name your first computer game experience!
The release of the original game is more then 30 years old (1990) and I bought it in a shop. But it wasn’t by far my first computer game, which was ASTEROIDS on Atari 2600 in 1981. My friend and I unboxed his Atari secretly 3 days before x-mas and played the whole night when his parents weren’t at home. It was an unbelievable experience for 12 years old boys of playing this game and we had to box it again so he could get the Atari as a present for X-mas three days later…
So, which is your first computer game or your oldest game experience?
Please share your memories here with us! I’d love to hear your story.

My very first game was Pong, believe it or not.
Then we got a Philips P2000; the games on that system were quite simple.
Next, a Commodore 64 with some really amazing game.
Then I bought a pc and the floodgates opened. :p
I remember playing a little of Star Control in the past but it never really clicked for me.

I remember playing CD-MAN hot-seat with my father, it's still a fun pacman clone:

I also remember playing an "Omega Race" clone called Betarace, but I have never found it online.
As for start control, this open source re-implementation is very good for modern systems:

I had an Amstrad with a game called "Burnin' Rubber" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7a1wubAE_g) on cartridge. I possibly played "Oh Mummy" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTRfIUMbTas) before that but can't remember.

I am pretty certain, that I started with Pac-Man on the Atari 2600. The next system was probably a 8 bit Atari computer.

Could be "Alex Kidd in Miracle World", it was built into many SEGA Master Systems. I also remember playing a lot "Sonic the Hedgehog" on the Master System too as a kid.

I can't remember accurately, but I think my first experience was watching one of my mother's coworkers playing what was probably the demo for one of the early Settlers games, on her work computer. My first actual playing a game was probably the demo for Ignition (an old PC racing game) at my childhood best friend's house. That or the demo for Cossacks.

Firs real (personal, owned) gaming experience was probably Pokemon Blue on a Gameboy Pocket. Before that, I played a little of Batman Returns on the Sega Master System.
