Try to activate game on your account and see what Steam validation prompt tells you about the key, since you have the game already.
If its a good key it will tell you that you have game already. If not good tells you its been activated I do believe.
I am willing to buy the winner a copy if the code doesn't work, as long as the winner is willing to provide proof it doesn't work. If I need to buy it, I should have it by the weekend, but I will let the winner know. I will honor it though.
