I won your Yakuza: Like a Dragon giveaway. It won't activate in my region (Dominican Republic / Latam). But I just moved to the U.S. on June 6. Anticipating the move, I had changed my region to US. But then to complete a purchase on Steam, I had to change it back to DR about a week or so ago. So I am trying to see what I can do to redeem the key. Hopefully, I will have success, but if not, I will let you know.

Frustrating update. This key is region restricted for the Dominican Republic. and so almost surely for Latam.
I have been talking to Steam support. They have me on a 3-month wait to change my store country to the U.S.. So it will be 3 months before I could redeem this key.
I am not sure what your options are. A reroll is not likely to be granted since you did not put any region restrictions on the giveaway. If you want to delete the giveaway so that you can redo it, I am fine with that as well. I will send a separate message to that effect that you can point the moderator to.

This is sad to hear. Yes Steam have a 3-month wait to change Store Region. i asked Support to delete the Giveaway. But if u want - keep the Key & Activate it just in 3 Months - or give it to a friend. :') I already have the Game
And maybe its my Fault - im currently from Germany & thought this Gift would not have a region res. :) Sorry for that! But keep the Key - maybe u can Activate it in 3 Months or you can make a Friend of you a pleasure.

Why is all of this discussed here and not on the giveaway itself? Also, who told you that you have to wait 3 months to get your region changed - and where?
I am requesting from you to open a ticket now, not in three months, in the Other category to get your region adjusted to match that on Steam. Both always have to be the same and when changing region on Steam you have to open a ticket in the Other category to get your region adjusted.

Maybe he got lost in the thread - but Steam allows to change the Region only every 3 Months - as he said he moved to us - changed his Store to US - then back to Dominican Republic for something - and now i think hes waiting again for 3 Months to move to the US because he is currently living there. That's how I understood it.
Whatever - I don't want anyone to have problems here. the giveaway is deleted - he can activate the key in 3 months when he has updated his Steam region. :)

For similar reasons that the winner is left anonymous in the giveaway until the key is claimed... since, I believe, I am not able to contact him directly in private, I decided to contact the giver in a manner that was likely to keep the anonymity of the winner (me) until this was resolved one way or another.
After trying to activate the key and being unable to do so due to region restrictions, I tried to update my Steam store region to the US since I just moved here on June 6. My region had been U.S. anticipating my move to the U.S. but I was unable to make a purchase so I had reluctantly changed it back to DR about 2 weeks ago.
Now I attempted to change it back to the US and was unable to do so. I opened a ticket on Steam. They made it very clear that I cannot change my Steam store region for 3 months (I believe approximately 2.5 months remaining).
So the issue that I reported to the giver was on Steam, not here on SteamGifts. In regards to your request to open a ticket here on SteamGifts... My current Steam store region is DR (Dominican Republic). I looked but could not find my SG region. If you can point me to where I can see that information, if I am currently not set to DR here on SteamGifts (even though I am now physically in the US), I will certainly open the ticket to change it here. And then another ticket in 2.5 months to change it back to the U.S.
Let me know and I will proceed as indicated!

If you haven't done so already, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our FAQ and Guidelines. Things like this should be discussed on the giveaway in question. You were the winner, you had issues with it and you agreed to delete it. For the future, please put your comments where they belong for documentation purposes. Handling it as you did only complicates things unnecessarily.
This is also not the Other ticket you were requested to open in order to discuss your region issues.
The reason why you can't find it is because you cannot change it - we have to do that. Which again is why I've requested for you to open a ticket in the Other category.
Especially considering your own previously voiced concerns about privacy issues, this will not be discussed any further publicly in this giveaway. We expect you to open the Other ticket to make your case.
