Off-topic, but I couldn;t share a photo on Steam. This is me camping on my visit to the outer Hebrides and also the stone circle at Callanish;

This was a photo we took of where we were camping the night before from the other side of the bay. The cottages were partially underground and had thick ropes slung across the thatched roofs with big rocks on each side to hold them on during storms. The weather up there could get really savage.

I've been to Stonehenge for a solstice when they have to let people in so the druids can do their ceremonies. I got to get close to the stones then but at midnight the druids rock up to do their stuff and I was wondering how they were going to get all the drunken people out of the way - basically just an army of them charged towards the stones holding burning torches in front and people had to get out of the way.
Callanish is far more complete than circles on the mainland due to how remote it is and you can go up there and do what you want. It isn't like Stonehenge at all. I've also been up to the Stenness stones and Skara Brae (as in The Bard's Tale games) in the Orkney islands and those are really spectacular well.

I'm not actually in a position to give useful advice on many things - but if you ever have any questions then mixed media traditional artworks and stone circles of the UK are my specialist subjects.
