This is a steam Gift. I will add the winner to steam. If you do not accept my invite or I cannot get a hold of you within 24hours of the giveaway ending, you will be assumed as refusing receipt of gift and a new winner will be drawn.
The submitter and winner(s) of the giveaway have seven (7) days to complete the gifting process. This includes the activation of the gift on the Steam account of the winner.
Look, I'm not trying to start an argument here, but you can't have special rules on public giveaways and any special rules you DO have in place need to be a) approved by support and b) on a group or private ga only
nor am I but you are misreading the rules. My rule fits clearly inside their rules and is by no means stepping on any toes. If it is not liked in a public giveaway, don't enter the giveaway
thats fine if its not approved then oh well. but this is a game gift, as in i have to add them and trade it to them. which means i cant be around waiting to get it to someone seeing as I work. so if they dont accept the steam friend invite its not my fault
if they at least accept my friend invite, even if they cant collect it for 6-7 days thats fine
Yeah, sorry if I sounded like I was attacking you or anything, I just want to help people understand the (sometimes convoluted) rules. Also, you can send a steam gift to someone's email without having them on your friends list. That can help speed things up sometimes if the winner of the GA isn't online.
Dhoomdealer is correct. A reroll will not be granted based on inability to get in contact with a winner without a wait of a week. Other reasons to reroll, such as an owner already owning the game or having not activated recent wins would be allowed as soon as you want, but no contact is always a week minimum and no support member will allow the reroll you want.
I know that this was previously mentioned in rules before the update to the site, but it seems to not be mentioned in the current revision. Despite this, there have been no rule changes that would allow what you want.

yes before its removed form the site, I can still repick a winner whenever I want as long as I have a reason and my reason is stated in my giveaway.
