I'm quite happy with my age right now, let me explore the world a bit more

There’s no good or bad, right or wrong, negative or positive, Alan Watts emphasised. Good exists because there is bad to contrast with, right exists because there is wrong to contrast with and similarly, negative exists because there is positive to contrast with. Watts saw this naming system meaningless. In the end, all is the same, just a different side of the same coin. To experience life at the fullest, we should go beyond distinctions and accept ‘what is’.

'What is' includes right/wrong, good/bad & all those distinctions - if you jumbled the letters of each word in that paragraph, I'd've said you spelled everything wrong, because the there 'is' a correct way (sometimes multiple, I understand most things aren't balck & white) to spell words. Sure, there's no badly arranged constellations, but to point at the empty space between the stars and call that space a star would be wrong. To cause harm againat another person against their will for no reason other than your own pleasure, is bad. Numbers smaller than 0 are negative. I might be conflating language games, but so does Alan Watts. I like Watts, but I feel like the way he speaks can be purposefully vague and esoteric to make things sound deeper than they are.

I hope this didnt sound confrontational, wasn't my intention at all. I really appreciate the comment and thought it deserved some thinking and a proper reply. Thank you for giving me something to think about 🤙
