I guess some of you wouldn't consider this "cozy".
But calmly driving from city to city, no racing and rarely any urgency (even in the urgent cargos), viewing new landscapes while listening to the radio, alone with your driving wheel and making sure things go easy. Yes it's cozy.
(Except backwards double-trailer parking. No thanks.)

I feel you on that! For me, it’s Forza Horizon 4. Just cruising down the roads, taking in the scenery, and soaking up the changing seasons is super relaxing.

Indeed! I love racing games, but I also love "just driving" games. Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, with the exception of some extra-long trailer in a tricky corner, are at the top of that IMHO.

But FH4 is so fast!
I started off playing like you said after it was on sale in December but then the cars got more and more powerful, and the countryside could be jumped across in pretty much any vehicle, and it kept giving out points and prizes for wrecking almost everything.... maybe i'm lost? help me find the way back...

That is true, but there are two things you can do (atleast that I am aware of):
Regarding the (skill) points, I don't find them very useful so I just ignore that part of the game.

Skill points are important if you want to have a full car collection.
Some cars can be farmed with skill points to get money, lots of money, sometimes in and endless loop (with one of the 911), and some cars can only be unlocked in skill tree.
There are guides for that.

Ah, I see! I guess I didn't bother with getting all the cars since I read somewhere that some of the cars were event/time specific. Though I will try to complete my photo collection.

If you're annoyed by the Skill Points because all you want to do is just cruise around the map, you can disable them in the HUD Settings! It won't actually disable earning points, but you won't see them pop up on your screen whenever you do something.
For speed, I don't think I have much to add to SolvedPack's message above.
