I bought the German version and nothing works! What can I do?

The German version is extremely censored and thus incompatible with almost every mod, fix, or tool outlined in this FAQ. Unfortunately, you cannot use another region release of SR2 on Steam if you live in Germany. Saints Row 2 on Steam is a special case where all other uncensored regions are blocked from running by the IP of the player.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT BUY SAINTS ROW 2 FROM GAMERSGATE! All of their keys for the game activate as the German censored release on Steam, even if you live in a country outside Germany!

PS: My intention is not to dis the giveaway, just to inform the entrants so they wouldn't complain later.

If someone is living in German should grab this... :/

Cuts are really horrible at this game, German censoring at it's best. Thanks anyway for the sub!

Eh the last time I got a German Localized game I went to valve and said that the friend who gifted me the game didn't know it was localized and they switched over to a localized-for-my-region version. But that was Titan Quest and the only difference was language so I dunno.
