This giveaway exists to tell you, the steamgifter reading this, that I am done screwing around with bots leaving generic comments, and am rolling out the whitelist/blacklist! It's simpler than you think, really - Give me a damn good reason to think you're someone decent/cool/awesome, and you MIGHT get a slot on my whitelist. On the inverse, give me a damn good reason to think you're an asshole/re-gifter/overall douche/A BOT (Such as posting a generic Thanks comment, in the case of the latter), and you get a free ride to my blacklist!
And don't even try pawning yourself off by saying you're the King of England or God, because really, be honest with yourself and ask, "Who believes that shit?" Just remember, I can see what you do, and I will call you out on it with a nice add to my Blacklist! So impress me (Or disgust me, I don't care what choices in life you make), and enjoy the giveaway.
Disregard that situation regarding that Van Helsing II GA I won, I just noticed that a steam key finally showed up in my Won Tab for that GA. Will be activating that key and marking it as received when I get home. Enjoy the giveaway!

While I acknowledge the fact that you're not a bot of any kind, I do also hate users who don't bother reading giveaway descriptions and leave generic thanks comments instead.
This one time, I'll remove you from my blacklist as a way of apologizing for that bout of name calling, but if it happens again, I'll be glad to reintroduce you to the blacklist.

The only setback that prevents me from checking with support about this is that in the 2 weeks I've had to deal with that user (Segnordiablo), I haven't heard anything from him at all (Tried sending him a friend request to settle the situation, but never got any contact with him aside from these comments and that -rep), so I fear support might not be of much help since I haven't done anything other than that in those 2 weeks.

As far as the "Gifts Won" tab thing you pointed out goes, though, whenever a user here wins a giveaway here, the win doesn't show up on their gifts won tab until they receive the game from the GA creator, and marks it as received.

It hadn't occurred to me that all the "Thanks", "Thank you", etc. comments were coming from bots... I would think drawing the least amount of attention by not commenting at all would be in their best interest... though I just checked out a few bots/auto-joiners and actually saw people asking for auto-comment functionality for one that didn't already have it. Apparently I don't understand the mindset of someone who uses a bot...
In any case, I like the idea of a GA to black/whitelist people based on ability to follow directions. I may have to steal it. :)

Hmm... I like to think I'm a decent person, though I can get annoyed and easily not act so decent. Plus I tend not to care what others think of me, so I could seem like an asshole that way. Aside from that, I generally try to follow special rules listed in descriptions like yours. Also I love games. I don't really do much aside from that in my off times. There really are bots specifically made for saying Thanks? Well I am extremely new on Steamgifts so I have no idea how big that is as problem, but I never really pay attention to the comment section anyway, but when I do, it's filled with "Thanks" and "Thank You", aren't there some more...I don't know, creative ways to say thanks instead of a simple and generic "Thank you", like for instance "May The Nine Divines Bless You" or something like that, just something extremely catchy, how about that?
But seriously now I'm just rambling on, so I'll try to make the end quick. Thanks for teaching me that there are bots that say "Thank You" as soon as they join a giveaway, never knew they existed.

I had gotten one detail wrong, though: It's not just bots who do that, some users either type it out in 2-3 seconds or copy/paste it in a comment.
There is no actual problem with generic thanks comments, but it does get annoying to see your message notification icon full of generic thanks comments from random users.

I'm a pretty big asshole, so despite not being a bot... I'm screwed. You'll either blacklist me now or later. And yeah, I post "thank you" a lot on many giveaways because it's the most appropriate way to show my gratitude, generic as it might sound. Calling a fire hot is awfully generic as well, but what an apt description. And I'll have you now that I DO type it out every time, not even a copy paste. That, and if I have something interesting to say or the description section asks something, I''ll usually put something else there. Still, I'm nowhere near a good person at all so I doubt I'll get on the whitelist, unless you give a crap about me posting lots of YouTube videos and doing reviews on Steam on and another site.
