Probably Vagabond. I love stories set in a historical time period bc they tend to be more grounded and tell great stories but Vagabond has a lot of introspective, philosophical scenes that change your outlook on life

Monster. It completely destroyed any other manga/anime i tried afterwards
I found it at a moment where i was so sick and tired of anime cliche tropes and gimmicks, it was everything i ever wanted.
Tight story, even tighter characters, just pure dedication from Urasawa to depict very specific people from very specific cultures and locations. The guy is completely out of line.
There is a whole inner short story about a guy drinking coffe with 5 spoons of sugar that is a tale worth of Dostoyevski monologues!

NOTHING STOPS THE MAGNIFICENT STEINER
