Hi, Pete,
I'm curious why Degrees of Separation got added to the "No Value" list on Aug 1, 2021?
Barter shows that it got bundled a few times, but there's no indication of it every going free. No one I asked remembers it ever being free.
Also, according to the Archive, there was no uptick in GAs around that date. There were 2 GAs by 2 different people on that day then none for a while. It was only given out in a batch of 5 once during the most recent Steam Summer Sale when it was -90% off.
It looks to me like a normal, well-reviewed (87% positive) bundled game and I see no signs of CV exploitation.
Please let me know if I'm missing a significant deal/event on Aug 1, 2021 that would explain the current status.

I can't say that I'm a fan of the idea of marking anything that appeared once or twice in a Lootboy pack as Free if there's no indication of more than one or two people taking advantage. I'm no expert on Lootboy, but from what I gather, even really good games can appear in drops on rare occasions. I would certainly make sure that everything on this Barter** page is marked as free because those are the most commonly observed drops, but I feel that anything else should require more evidence to count as Free (e.g. high likelihood that 5+ people got it via drops, multiple support tickets with screenshots, etc)
I would wager that at least 95% of the copies of Degrees of Separation on SG were either purchased through Fanatical bundles or directly on Steam. Besides it being unfair to all the people who paid for the game, making it Free would disincentivize others from sharing this good game in the future. This last point is what bothers much more than the miniscule loss of $3 CV going from Reduced to Free.
Just my 2 cents.
Edit: ** I take that back. I just looked at the page that I linked to and it includes some quite uncommon and sought-after games. I wouldn't count them all as Free automatically. Doing so would cause a massive uproar on SG. I've no idea how accurate that list is or how common each drop is. It just goes to show how tricky all this Lootboy stuff is.
