I love Magic Eye images :-)

Not my kind of game, but I loved the puzzle! Brings back memories. My friends and I were obsessed with Magic Eye images. It was hilarious how the group split between "that's so cool!" and "you're all just making it up". Good times. :)

Haven't seen a Magic Eye image in years. It took me some time to see the 3D-graphic. Thank you for the fun puzzle and the awesome HOG-train!

For some reason the letters being diagonal really messed with my eyes. Thanks for the train!

It's been a long time indeed, since I saw one. The very first one (aeons ago..) blew my mind. As soon as I saw this type of pic it just clicked..
PS. I know people though that cannot see it because of shortsight problems and great difference of values between the two eyes. Maybe they can with a lot of effort but it's very staining on their eyes.

I had difficulty with “j”, first I took it as l then I, 1, i... I had used small picture so it could be only my problem;)

Man, I really liked the puzzle. I was so rusty I had to google some stereograms to retrain my eyes before I could see the code.

We had a book about stereograms in my school's library, and almost all of my friends thought I was making stuff up when I told them what was hidden in each image. I swear since I moved out of my hometown, I haven't seen a Magic Eye image. I'm talking about a whole decade O_O

I must say that the J really looked like an I, the curvature on the bottom was really small.
I had trouble doing it with the eye widening thing (that makes the letters pop out) so I crossed my eyes instead and had the letters engraved instead.
It's always helped me with the magic eye puzzles, even though the perspective given is the inverse.

That was an interesting puzzle! I saw some distortions over the repeating grass pattern so I rebuilt the original (non distorted) image and computed the difference between the two layers. With that I was able to get here and learn about stereograms. Thanks~.

Omg, that is the trippiest thing I’ve ever seen.
I’d read a book about these a long time ago but had never actually managed to see it, I just remembered the instructions, and managed to apply them this time.

I noticed a repeating pattern, so I tried to grab that pattern and then subtract or better xor it. Only part of the image matched exactly, but it was enough to see 4 1/2 letters. Didn't realise it was a stereogram. :o

Also before trying the pattern, I did a Google search and found one other similar image, which I tried to subtract. Needless to say it was a mess, since it resulted in two hidden messages on top of each other.

The only part I had an issue was is the first character. The j really looks like an i because it only has a really small hook on the bottom to make the j. It would have been better to switch the first 2 carts in the train to have more distinct characters.

I had forgotten what these kinds of images were called until now. I love the idea of finding the pattern of the image by crossing your eyes, but I couldn't see it myself. I ended up having to create 2 identical dots and crossing them over to be able to see the letters. I find it interesting how many different ways people solved the puzzle.

The first letter was HARD to recognice

Like pizzahut above, I found another version of this image on the Internet. I used GIMP maybe 5 imes in my life, all about 8-10 yrs ago, so I had to look for alternatives.And of I'm shortsighted as well.
I figured that if I found the original image I could use online image comparators (like this one: https://online-image-comparison.com/ ) to simply read the answer, but the only other version of the image I had was, well, already written on. Still, I could recognise some letters, and only had to guess about both Q's, whether they were Q, O, 0, or G. Tip about j being 1st made me understand, that the answer is written in one line, instead of in a column (at first, I wanted to ry RQeQj - from top to bottom - just because it was the thing that seemed to repeat),
From then it was just checking 4x4 combinations.
