Really? You claimed this on Alien to put it in here...

Ugh yeah :( I thought it was on my wishlist not in my library and only realized it when it said product owned trying to use the key. The site crashed when I tried to get Warhammer, wish I had done Remnant instead.

At least we get a actual chance of winning the game, on alienware usually the bots get the games, so thx for chance.

Pretty sure they were just trolling.
Their last giveaway was 8 months ago lmao.
Also pffftt. Driftland. That one was given for free like candies from fanatical.

I mean, Alienware's an abysmal hellhole of a site, created and managed by what are certainly sadists, trolls, and presumably also lovecraftian devotees (TL;DR, I find that site to be torture to interact with). So if someone wants to dive into the depths of the abyss to bring me back a chance at a top-tier in-demand game, then they're a-ok with me.
It's not like they're abusing a publically accessible giveaway, after all, and, even there, you generally assume a 1x listing was claimed on accident (or for the sake of a friend who happened to also claim it/etc), rather than being intentionally claimed for SG purposes. Rather, it's the multi-account multi-copy giveaway people, or those with a clear habit of farming free (and almost always overpriced trashware) games for giveaways that are the real frustration. Though, again, if anyone wants to filter out the Alienware BS to get such games directly to us.. well, I won't be the one to criticize them for that, no matter how untoward their methods toward that may be.
Well, even if you don't feel as strongly negative towards Alienware as me, yeah, still do consider directing your sentiment more towards the more obviously problematic individuals out there. Again, it's only a good thing for us if more games get offered on SG, especially ones we might not have chances at otherwise. So if there's not clear signs of abusive behavior, probably best to just assume the best of the gifter and let any personal irritation slide for the sake of the benefit to the communal whole of the site.
All the moreso when the individual in question is freely giving away a game that they could easily pawn off for a decent amount elsewhere, which.. yeah, still pretty generous behavior, regardless of where they sourced the game from.
Though, in the case of Alienware, as Day noted, it's basically all bots anyway, so imp definitely didn't anything criticizable with claiming it, regardless of their plans of use. Though one could argue that there's never anything to criticize, so long as you limit to just one copy of a giveaway, as per rules, since it's really up to the winner what they do with such a prize, so long as it fits with the intentions of the giveaway itself.
Again, it's really just farming behaviors or obvious short-term CV inflation behaviors that are generally viewed as problematic. And as for those blatant giveaway-exploitation offenders? Yeah, unlike with this, don't think you'll find many willing to defend them. Go wild, there.
TL;DR version: Thanks for the chance, imp. :)

Thank you for conveying our feelings. I literally can't find any reason to hate this 'Alienware BS'.
Especially when the game is really good like this one. Even a level 10 specifically thanked me for creating one of the indie games (not a popular one too) from Alienware last month.
People are happy, what's the problem? >_>""
