if it's from Square Enix like he said, then it's not the GOTY edition. It's the standard version which is what SE is giving away and is already free on Steam.

Hi! I couldn't activate the key.. I have Tomb Raider not GOTY edition...i think that key gets me all DLCs,but it doesn't work...sorry...Return it to you
