Description

Hello, fellow SteamGifters!
Recently my ratio went to hell due to my lack of time (I can't force myself to just throw GAs without any fancy description...) so I decided to fix things a bit with this one. The number ratio will need to wait :D

I hate to see how popular franchises (sometimes... not that worth it) like GTA and others sell like crazy while the others, really great, get too few copies sold to ensure a nice sequel or more localizations. I played the series when it didn't even think of going Deathinitive, even won the season pass on SG. Now it's time to give back. First, I bought Ds2 with soundtrack again to support it more, then decided to go further.

It's still weak to support the series (again) when it goes on a massive discount but my funds are limited so I need to make some sacrifices. I'd like to remind you that if you have limited funds and, e.g. two favourite franchises - one selling like crazy and the second quite niche - buy the niche one in collector's edition/pre-order or whatever or maybe even once more to gift and wait a bit with the bestseller to ensure having more installments/localizations of the niche one. If PSN gets a gifting option, I'll make sure some of my friends get Yakuza games.

Some unpopular series deserve to sell in millions. We're the ones to make it happen.

Oh, one more thing - please, enter only if you don't have ANY part of the Darksiders Franchise Pack. It's cheap to complete your collection.

Thank you for this pack and for the well articulated message :D

Hello again, Karfein!
How has life been treating you of late? I don't know if you remember me, but you were one of the first people to greet me on SG, and it made me very happy.
I very much agree with your philosophy on benefiting small or unpopular businesses that you enjoy before the more successful ones - I've promoted Klei Entertainment's works to my friends. "Mark of the Ninja" is one that I especially enjoy.

Hi there, IlmarinenSeppo :)
Pretty nothing changed, maybe apart from the fact that our biological clocks started ticking and making us wanting some descendants. If only we could save some money instead of buying games and such while having problems to play them all :D
Since we started due to some Finnish words, I'll allow myself to continue this small custom of ours. Currently my wife discovered that one class in Final Fantasy XIV has Ukonvasara for a relic weapon so she started to make her way for it because it would go well with her Rauni character. Pity it's not her favourite class so it comes as a bother :)

Hello, Karfein
In other news, I'm bad at checking my message notifications.
I hope that you two manage to save up the money for raising a family - I'm not quite to that stage of life yet, but I loved tending my 4 younger siblings, and would like to experience the raising of a brood of little humans for myself one day as well. I'm sure your future little ones will be quite enamored of the career you and your wife share once they're old enough to understand such things. :)

That's quite interesting about the Ukonvasara - I'm surprised it's well-known enough to be found in such a game - I find it interesting that we in the western world are so very fascinated by the orient and Japan, and they in turn are enthralled by our history and culture... Sometimes it seems that Japan does a better job of producing western mythology themed things than we in the west do (e.g. a comparison of Dark Souls to TESV: Skyrim).

And, in parting, this is the famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius's 3rd symphony in C major - it's a piece of music I associate with my father, as it is one of his favorite musics, and was the first thing he played for me when I was born, a symbolical gift of sorts. All the best to you!

It isn't often you see that type of description on a giveaway..
I really do agree with your outlook on it! I support some smalltime developers whenever I can, like DoubleDutch games, the creators of Speedrunners.
Indie developers really don't get much of a chance nowadays. Which is a damn shame.

Anyway, thanks for the giveaway! Won't enter it though as I own the first Darksiders game :)

Also, added you to my Whitelist!
