I think you're thinking of the free trial, which appears to be set in the ICA Facility - a secret training facility.
Episode 1 is set in Paris, and doesn't appear for sale on Steam anymore - you can only buy the GotY edition now.

It is already free, you can install it via the console code posted in the thread linked. You can use either the Steam or Windows console to do it. Starting tomorrow you can download the first episode from the official store page.

How do you do that? I saw the steam://install/236870 but have no idea what to do with it. I can't run it from the Windows command line, it just says that "Steam" is unknown.

No, only the prologue is in the demo on steam. I bought this Hitman - Intro Pack through GameStop which includes the Prologue and the complete Paris Episode. Enjoy :)

Thank you for the game! I absolutely love the Hitman series, I just wish this one didn't release in such a weird messy way. Hope you understand that I'll wait to buy the other episodes before playing this :)
