It really was gold. That's what attracted me to this site (yeah more than giveaways) when I first joined. I used to comment regularly but now I'm mostly a lurker.
It was just a joke, no sarcasm intended. We all have our own lifestyles and some of us just enjoy reading more than writing in comments section. And we all were somewhat antisocial in our lives at some point :)
Yup, I stopped commenting because I always got tangled into some weird argument that only granted me a blacklisting XD
Now that I don't care I'm much happier so... here's another reason for ya ; )

giving the vibe of underground ebm party.
but if you get into it and the other songs it will make more sense if you speak the language fluent.
I'm quite OK with the fact that people comment only after they win. They usually don't have anything clever to say anyway :)
That's why I always try to thank with some meaningful message.

In one of my gifts I asked a real question, that is, it was not to joke, it was a serious question. Only one person responded. It even happens with whitelisted gifts.
It's been a while sinne i've tries to actually engage with other user with the comment section. Using giveaways as a marketing/questionnaire lead generation is hyper targetted and might have a really high cost per new entry
Also i don't like filling my SG inbox with zero value spam.
under 10k entries and 1k comments = dead community
