Honestly the hint given was very flawed and unhelpful and only lead me the wrong way. Once I ignored the hint and started thinking about all the possible ways the giveaways could have been hidden I finally got an idea which made me find it.
It would have been better if the hint was: "The element is hidden beneath one of the dungeons". Now that would be a perfect hint for this case.
