Special Edition was provided to owners of all Skyrim content (base game + all DLCs) on October 28, 2017. Based on how Bethesda phrased it, the information available through SteamDB, and multiple discussions on the topic, this addition was done through some method that directly checked ownership and issued an additional license to owners, rather than through the more standard method of adding to already owned licenses. Since the Special Edition wasn't directly added into the existing Legendary / etc licenses (and thereby doesn't activate from those licenses), there's no way to retroactively claim that offer.
This is the base game with all DLC if I'm correct and not the SE/Anniversary? If that is indeed the case, since I already own that and am able to enter, check your winner
It's super odd, I have owned the Legendary Edition for years, it's one of my most played games on Steam and yet I can still join.
I won't but it is a weird one.
Anyone knows if this will be upgraded to Special Edition on Steam for free?
