Something you must not have understood is that people thank you for the opportunity you're giving them of winning a game. So thanks, even if I don't win.
After 4 years on Steam Gifts, I understand what you mean. I just do not like getting spammed by messages from bots.
On the other hand, I do very much appreciate statements like yours of sincere thanks for the opportunity and the gift.
