Do crabs think fish are flying?
Why is it called a building if it’s already built?
If you were invisible and closed your eyes, could you see through your eyelids?
If you don't snag a cake day prize, I hope you still had a blast along the way. Cheers to another year full of chances, fun, and good vibes! 🎉✨
A special thank you to all who got involved in festivities :D
To my ♥️ the train continues

I was thinking about invisibility. If you are invisible that means the photons do not interact with you. Because we can only see if photons bump to our eyes. Otherwise, if light bump to your eyes than they become visible. So, if you are invisible and photons pass through you, how you are going to see?

A friend told me sue storm turn peoples eye invisible so they would go blind. but she could see while invisible?

Zactly. That's why in multiplayer Quake, when you're invisible, the other players still see your two eyes. So you can see.

If you manipulate the light after it bounces off of you will be able to see without shining eyes. All comes down how your able to go invisible i guess

Thank you. I am planning something for it actually. You are very capable these kind of things. Would you help me a little bit?

I was thinking the same about 1-way mirrors. If it looks like a mirror, that means that light gets reflected. But if light gets reflected, then it can't pass through and so it can't be see-through from the other side.

You thought really good on it. But one-way mirrors work principal is a little bit different. Actually, they don't reflect all the light.
According to wiki:
The glass is coated with, or has been encased within, a thin and almost transparent layer of metal (window film usually containing aluminium). The result is a mirrored surface that reflects some light and is penetrated by the rest. Light always passes equally in both directions. However, when one side is brightly lit and the other kept dark, the darker side becomes difficult to see from the brightly lit side because it is masked by the much brighter reflection of the lit side.

If crabs think fish are flying, then the water is the sky? where are the birds flying?

Are their brains able to comprehend the difference between swimming and flying. Maybe the crabs are wondering how the birds are still swimming outside of water. :D its an old kids joke

Crabs think fishes are swimming, just as when climbing the rocks in the tidal zone they think seagulls are flying. Many species of small and mid-size crabs can swim pretty well (as well as a seahorse, but kinda faster). But they know they can't fly, if they ever get out of the water.
All crabs can swim in their larvae stage(s).
Now, crabs that can't swim, think fishes are flying? They think they're "moving also up and down in the medium we are". You can call it swimming or flying, crabs use a different word: go ask for it to a crab.
According to Murphy's Law, buildings are never finished.

Are their brains able to comprehend the difference between swimming and flying? I like you detailed answer :D that was an old joke my teacher told me in the 3rd grade.

We call it skadoodling, which is crab slang for skedaddling.

Thank you for the educational train.
Which would also mean you could not actively shield your eyes with hands and arms. You would not be able to be truly invisible (no floating sunglasses ;)) in bright sunlight w/o burning off your retinas or having to look down to the ground constantly. Sounds fun...

I would not call it educational :D just a bit of fun

Do crabs think fish are flying?
If this is true, does that also mean crabs see humans as the giants in the clouds like in the story about the beanstalk? Woah!

Thank you :D I added people for different reasons over the year

I was thinking of other examples similar to "building". The best I came up with is "clearing" as in the area of a forest from which the trees have been cleared.
