im crap at the power management part too, ive only gotten past night three of the first game because of that. also because too easily distracted to focus on tracking all the robots by staring at just one of them and because ive never been more scared by a game, i couldnt even tell you why it scares me so much. amnesia, whatever. soma, great game and great spooks but not scary. first fnaf? nope. really need to retackle it though, make myself not be scared.

havent played outlast yet, from what i've seen of it its really intense. amnesia's scary until you figure out how the monsters work, then its just like meh.
but related to frictional studios, i seriously cant recommend soma enough, that was my goty 2015. amazing experience, right there.but yeah, for some reason, the first fnaf majorly tapped into some primal fear of mine. i guess its like all my childhood fears of the dark, helplessness, and mascot costumes all came back to punch me in the face or something. no idea.

Having spent as much time in the fandom as I have, I have seen many different ways one can have a favorite animatronic. Some people's favorite is the one that scared them the most, some people's favorite is the one they think has the best design), and some people's favorite is the one they want to fuck the most.
My fave's mangle because of the aforementioned "design" thing, she's one of the neatest-looking robots i've ever seen. and you probably weren't expecting a serious and/or longish answer to your question, sorry about that. ^^;
