It just looks like these devs admitted to making a 1:1 copy of Alone in the Dark, attempted to skirt the rules by saying they weren't going to sell it for money, and now have changed the name, attempted to wipe any trace of it being a fan "remaster" and now selling a stolen game for money lmao.
It's also got a very suspicious custom/proprietary DRM on it - and so do this whole publisher's catalogue - so I personally wouldn't trust running it.
