Mass Effect: Andromeda is out very soon, so let's celebrate by giving away two copies of the game that started one of my favourite franchises. The sequel is currently free on Origin also, so go claim it while you still can!
Gifts will be sent via email. Good luck!

I had forgotten I got the second game for free on Origin. I've always wanted to try the ME series, and I was a little disappointed when I got the second game but didn't have the first one. Thanks for reminding me! Now, if I don't get lucky here, I'll have a very good reason for buying this.

I dont think you lose much if you play second one without playing the first one.
The story (along with savegames and your profile) does succeed from one gome to other, but the story is new and all the characters are introduced almost as in new game despite the fact most of them were on team in first part.
Of course there are referances to the first part and characters have history together, but if you dont win - don`t sweat over it and just play the second one..
I actually played ME3 before playing ME2. that was roughly five years ago, so I had forgotten the story almost compeletely. But still - the games work good even if you havent played previous parts.

I'll keep this in mind. Thanks!

don't forget that much of the dlc is not available on steam, only origin, and costs more than the base game. It's largely a problem of ME3, less so for ME2
