I think 2 or 3 days after I was charged (after the trial ended) I went to cancel my subscription, and they asked if I wanted to keep Prime for the duration I had paid for or if I wanted to refund the remaining time. I chose refund.
Not sure what the difference with pause and cancel is - don't suppose it's pause a month like Humble ;)
