It is 2017, why do we only have black and white photos of panda?

This is driving me crazy as everything else in the photo is colored, but those damm pandas...

That's the law in China. You can not depict a panda being harmed, and you can not depict a panda with colour.

They aren't black-white only, but their colors are HOG'ged. You can find it.

Not only pandas do not have colours, they don't have fifty shades of grey either. Their colouring scheme is binary. As well as zebras. They silently represent fraction of binary things in the world to remind us not to have too much binary judgements and not to live in black-and-white world.
