This section of the line is confusing me, how can you switch here to the Circle line? on the map they are kinda far, or is it on of those thing in real life they are real close?

Yep, it's confusing, especially to me who's never been on the London Tube. ;-)
But looking at the map, notice how Hammersmith through Paddington are also yellow? Circle and Hammersmith & City share a track here. it seems like the Circle line is sort of like a flipped sideways "6". The intersection of the circular portion of the 6 and its "tail" is Paddington. See how there are two lines from Paddington to Edgeware Road on the Circle line?
