I think you might be right since the Steam support website states there are no 16-character Steam Keys and a retail Steam key for Oil Rush is supposed to be presented in a different format than the one I gave you from Humble. Yet Steam says on its "Retail / Digital CD Keys" page that "Oil Rush CD Keys in this format: 1A2B-3C4D-5E6F-7G8H" which is 16 characters long. Maybe try it with the dashes? Still, I'll contact Humble to see if they may have sent me an invalid key.
i tried it but still not working, np wih dashes, if you have a steam key youll notice that you can write any code the form you want, the letter/numbers are only important, dashes and spaces its only the form you can write them
I submitted a support ticket with Humble which said there is an approximate wait time of five days. I'll let you know what I find out when they get back to me.
Humble never responded to my support ticket so you'll either have to mark this as not received, contact Steam for assistance activating your key, or give the key to a friend in North America so they can redeem it to their account (since there isn't a region restriction option for North America when creating a giveaway). Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

i can't give to another person because the key its not duplicated or have region restrictions, it is just not valid.
