Just a tip from someone who has done a few- if you give away DLC like character/map packs, try to make sure the recipient has the standalone game necessary to play the DLC. Otherwise, they're just getting some useless Steam files

If you want, you could also check beforehand to see if the winner already owns the game. It's up to you whether or not you think it's okay for the winner to receive the giveaway prize even if they own the game already; personally, I think it's more appropriate to give the game to someone who does not already own it on Steam
